Coim among the protagonists of the book published by LIUC University

C.O.I.M. S.p.a., a multinational company based in Offanengo (CR) which has been developing and producing specialty chemicals since 1962, a leader in the production of polyesters, polyols, polyurethanes, and special resins for the production of composite materials and coatings, has been selected among the best companies that have integrated circular economy strategies into their business and included in the book The Transition of Companies Towards the Circular Economy – Best Practices and Enabling Factors” published by LIUC University, edited by Andrea Urbinati, professor at the LIUC school of Management Engineering.

The book examines 12 companies based in Lombardy and surrounding areas, differing from one another in terms of product, size, and environment, that have committed to the transition towards a circular economy: the aim is to share virtuous paths as well as practical examples of how to implement circularity strategies for a more sustainable future, thus triggering an important reflection.

Coim has distinguished itself by initiating circular economy practices in its business models, thus committing to reducing environmental impact. An example of the various activities is the development of biodegradable, recyclable, and compostable adhesives that have enhanced sustainability while maintaining high performance, applying the same principle to the inks division. In October of last year, it also published its first Group Sustainability Report (the third for S.p.a.), detailing progress in economic, environmental, and social governance and the future goals set at the global level.

The book will be presented today, Monday, January 27, at LIUC University during the first of three scheduled events, featuring Luca Gianzini, Marketing and M&A Manager of COIM GROUP, who will share Coim's testimony on stage. After the opening remarks, a round table will follow in which the companies involved will tell their respective successful case histories.

“We are proud to be included in a book dedicated to the excellences of the circular economy, a work that celebrates companies that stand out for their positive contribution to ecological transition and sustainable development. This achievement would not have been possible without the passion, expertise, and commitment of all our collaborators, who work every day to make COIM a benchmark in the sector. Thank you to everyone who made this success possible!” - comments Luca Gianzini, Marketing and M&A Manager of COIM GROUP.
