COIM Completes the Acquisition of the Air Products Pre-Polymers Business
West Deptford, NJ (December 1, 2009)
COIM USA Inc., a fully owned subsidiary of global polyurethane chemicals producer COIM SpA, today said it has completed the previously announced acquisition of the polyurethane pre-polymers business, marketed under the Airthane® and Versathane® tradenames from Air Products (NYSE:APD).
Included in the acquisition is the Air Products’ manufacturing facility in Paulsboro, N.J. Terms of the agreement are not being disclosed.

The plant of Paulsboro will continue to manufacture the Airthane and Versathane product lines”.
Polyurethane pre-polymers are used in many cast elastomer markets, such as industrial tires printing rollers, cutting and metal forming blankets, custom parts for dynamic performance and durability and high performance adhesives.
